The Quality Head will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all products consistently meet customer requirements, FCO specifications, and applicable regulatory standards. The role includes leading QA & QC operations, process improvements, product development, technical research, team development, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Assurance & Product Compliance
Ensure all finished products comply with FCO specifications and internal quality standards.
Maintain product quality throughout the product shelf life.
Monitor product consistency and initiate corrective actions whenever required.
Develop and implement preventive quality improvement initiatives.
2. Quality Control Management
Establish and maintain Statistical Quality Control (SQC), Process Quality Control (PQC), and after-sales quality monitoring systems.
Ensure minimum 90% effectiveness of quality control processes.
Review laboratory testing procedures and analytical reports.
Investigate customer complaints and implement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).
3. Product Development & Research
Lead development of new products based on market requirements.
Drive formulation improvement and technical innovation.
Execute research and development projects for process optimization and product enhancement.
Coordinate product validation and trial activities.
4. Process Development
Develop and standardize manufacturing processes to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
Prepare, review, and update:
SOPs
Quality Manual
Process Documents
Work Instructions
Ensure implementation of documented procedures across departments.
5. Team Development
Build technical competency of QA/QC staff through structured training programs.
Conduct technical workshops and skill development sessions.
Evaluate employee performance and identify training needs.
6. Cross Functional Coordination
Coordinate closely with Production, Maintenance, Purchase, Stores, Dispatch, and Sales teams.
Conduct regular quality review meetings.
Ensure timely resolution of inter-departmental quality issues.
7. Regulatory & Documentation
Ensure compliance with FCO requirements and other applicable regulations.
Maintain complete quality documentation and records.
Prepare internal quality reports and management review presentations.
Support internal and external audits.
8. Continuous Improvement
Analyse quality data and identify improvement opportunities.
Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
Implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote a culture of quality across the organization.
